A doula is a birth support worker
He or she is there to support both the woman giving birth and any support person she may have. The doula provides emotional, physical and informational support during pregnancy, birth and/or postnatal care as agreed.
Doula is 100% present just for you. She will get to know your wishes beforehand and help you by reassuring you, but also by encouraging you. The doula does not give medical advice or perform medical examinations. The midwife is responsible for the birth.
